A Somerset Spring
Shining through gilt pages of green
A melancoly blue an green ...
For I remember the time
When everyday was Saturday
Laughter, and the taste of hot sidewalks
The heat of your father's car,too long in the sun
The radio...and your hair
Darker than the secret places we'd meet ...
Now,the sun
Through the leaves, and through the air
Draws your face upon my wall
It pauses
And with its last fading finger
Traces your smile
Forever young
Shining through gilt pages of green
A melancoly blue an green ...
For I remember the time
When everyday was Saturday
Laughter, and the taste of hot sidewalks
The heat of your father's car,too long in the sun
The radio...and your hair
Darker than the secret places we'd meet ...
Now,the sun
Through the leaves, and through the air
Draws your face upon my wall
It pauses
And with its last fading finger
Traces your smile
Forever young
